Free introductory concerts

In 2010, we launched the Country for the Elderly program to reach an additional target group. Since then, we have taken the festival to three different institutions in the municipality every year.

In 2024, the group Longhorn will join us on the road and give the elderly a concert with famous country music artists. We bring coffee and cakes and tell a little about the Norwegian Country Meeting.

In collaboration with pensioners' associations, deaconess boards, the Volunteer Center and home care services, elderly people who live at home also come to the concert and receive a ride to and from the concert. This has been a very well-received offer.

It is of great value to be able to offer high-quality cultural activities to the many people who are unable to seek them out themselves. And for many of those who live at home, it is also a very important social initiative, giving them the opportunity to get out for a break in their daily lives.
