Norwegian country music
Norsk Countrytreff is a private foundation with its headquarters in Gloppen municipality. The foundation was established by Breimsbygda Sports Club, Byrkjelo Youth Club, Breim Rural Youth Club, A/L Breimshallen, Breim Country Club, Norwegian Fjord Horse Breeding Foundation, Gloppen municipality and Sogn og Fjordane County Municipality.

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL NORWEGIAN COUNTRYTREFF
In 2025, celebrate Norsk Countrytreff (NCT) 30th Anniversary! During the second weekend of July, over 30 Artists and bands perform on stage at several arenas throughout the municipality. The main arena is located at Norsk Fjordhestgard on Breim in Gloppen municipality.
Since the first festival in 1995, Norsk Countrytreff has slowly but surely grown to become one of the largest cultural events in Western Norway, and the largest event in Western Norway within its genre. From 2,000 visitors in the first year, there was a new audience record in 2024 - with more than 24,000 concert visitors to the events that take place throughout Gloppen.
NCT does not aim to be the biggest festival, but to be the best. Quality on all levels is our hallmark. Every year we try to further develop the organization both for Artists , the audience and not least for all the almost 800 officials who step into these days. It has become a tradition for gloppers and other country enthusiasts to set aside this weekend for volunteer work, social fellowship and cultural enrichment. It is a tradition we hope will continue for many years. And by having continuous further development, we believe this is possible.
CONCERTS
On Wednesday evening it starts in the main arena for our early birds, to shorten the waiting time before it really breaks loose on Thursday. On Friday and Saturday, there are 13 hours of continuous live music on the festival grounds . First in the day in Kolbein's Saloon , and in the evening there will also be music from Hesjestauren .
The church concert in Breim The church has been called the flagship of NCT. The concert has also been moved to Saturday in 2025. It is a great pleasure for the artists to participate in this concert, which every year fills the church to the last pew.
The traditional and gradually very popular Bluegrass concert in Frislidlada at Nordfjord Folkemuseum is organized on Sunday at 19.00. There is a special atmosphere in the rustic surroundings of this old barn, and the bluegrass music fits in perfectly here.
In addition to this, there are daytime concerts on Saturday at Skei, Hyen, Byrkjelo, Reed and Sandane town center. This creates a country atmosphere throughout the municipality for both residents and visitors who are out shopping.
COUNTRY FOR EVERYONE
Children's Countrytreff
In 2009, for the first time, a separate event was arranged for the youngest children. Children's Countrytreffen focuses on the children, and they get to experience music, dance and activities. In 2025, we will also offer a concert for the young cowboys. The event is free for everyone.
Offer for the elderly
It has been inadvisable for some older people to take part in the concerts at our various arenas. Therefore, in 2009 we brought Artists from the arena of the community center in Hyen and Byrkjelo, as well as at the nursing home in Sandane. This was a very successful event, with good feedback. The events at the community center and nursing home have become a tradition since then. With this offer, in addition to the Children's Country Meeting, we are a festival for all age groups.
