Anita & The Amazing Greys is a band with a true love for traditional country music. With roots deeply planted in the classic country tradition, they offer everything from atmospheric ballads to swinging country rock, performed with joy, experience and musical weight.

The band consists of seasoned musicians who have been active in the Norwegian music scene for several decades. Frontman Anita Heggholmen has been on stage since she was 11 years old, and has over the years earned a solid name for herself as a singer in country, dance bands and concert activities. She has also participated as a chorister on several recordings with the beloved folk singer Johannes Kleppevik.

Behind her is a band with impressive experience from the Norwegian country, rock and blues scene. Per Halvorsen has collaborated with Johannes Kleppevik and Cato Sanden, among others, throughout his long musical career, while drummer Audun Sekkingstad and pianist Kjetil Lynglund have both played in a number of bands and projects within several genres.

On guitar we find Robert Aase, an experienced musician known for his elegant and down-to-earth guitar playing, while steel guitar veteran Egil Skjelnes adds the real country touch. Skjelnes is considered one of the pioneers of steel guitar in Norway, and throughout his career has played with Artists such as Bjøro Håland, Teddy Nelson, Lillian Askeland, Lynn Anderson and Freddy Fender. He also knows many from the stage at Norsk Countrytreff over several years.

The band has recently released their own songs on digital streaming services and continues to cultivate the classic country sound that has inspired them since the beginning. When Anita & The Amazing Greys take the stage, audiences can expect authentic country music performed by musicians who know the genre inside out.
