Roy Lönhøiden

Roy is one of the most eloquent composers and lyricists we have raised in this country, and his lyrics are both low-key and thought-provoking. Since going solo 20 years ago, Roy has been praised by a collective Norwegian music press, and the quiet gentleman from Kongsvinger is often referred to as "Johnny Cash meets Alf Prøysen".

Roy Lønhøiden & Strenger av Stål have a large catalogue to choose from, and they don't shy away from rearranging songs - but without straying from the original nerve of the song. With eight studio albums behind them since their debut in 2004, three of which were Spellemann nominations, they are a seasoned gentleman who takes the plunge Breim and Norsk Countrytreff until the summer.
