Biography
Oda Trøen is a fresh Trondheim-based artist from Ålen in Trøndelag, who makes honest country music about heartbreak and friendship, inspired by everyday events. With sarcasm and humor, she builds a narrative that entertains, captivates and is easy for the listener to relate to.
Adresseavisen's reviewer was no slouch after "Trondheim Calling", and gave Trøen and the band a 5 out of 10 with the following text:
"Her expression and her music simply smells a little liberatingly siloed. She has a lovely Dolly Parton inflection in her voice, while the whole package has a slightly more rocking Emmylou Harris/Gram Parsons aura. And she writes really good songs. The trio from this fall's EP is a string of pearls: "Too Late to Die Young", "Vodka Soda" and "Rocky and Adrian" are as good as anything from abroad".
Despite a short career as an artist so far, Oda has achieved over one million streams for the song "Du", which she released as a single with her band Dakota in 2019.
At Norsk Countrytreff you can experience Oda Trøen and her band on Saturday, July 13, in Kolbeins Saloon.
