We Met In June

Sara Rose Zadig from Dale in Sunnfjord, together with duo partner Gjest Ingeson Kvåle from Sogndal, make up We Met In June. They work full-time on their music, writing all the music together and creating a dreamy and romantic soundscape where country pop and Americana merge.

In 2024 they released their debut album Loving Living digitally and on CD. The album received widespread attention in the Norwegian press, including A-listing on Radio Signal, listing on NRK P1 Districtsliste and glowing reviews from music journalists. They were also awarded the Breakthrough of the Year award at the Luttprisen 2024 and selected for Talent Norway's development program PopUp. They see these milestones as important steps in their further development, but are now ready to take their music to a larger audience.

Our dream is to make a living from creating and performing music that reaches people and gives them joy and comfort. We want to create concert experiences that leave a mark on the audience – long after the last note has faded – and to establish ourselves as a duo with a strong and engaged audience, both in Norway and the USA. We want to develop our musical expression within country pop, make contacts in the American music community and reach a larger audience that shares our love for the genre.
