VON comes from Heidal in Gudbrandsdalen, with mercenaries from Skjåk, Otta and Harpefoss. The band has four studio albums under its belt and has played all over the country since its inception half a century ago. They have had albums on the VG list and a lot of playing time on national radio - not bad at all, considering that the lyrics are presented in sounding beer.

Their music lies in the country landscape, but with rough, wide-legged edges here and there.

VON took an ever so short break of four years, but the urge to play again was too great. The large VON catalog was simply impossible to leave unused. In 2023, the band gathered again, made some songs in the studio and played a small number of jobs to feel if the magic was still there, and to consider whether they should perhaps start up again. The plan was to evaluate at the end of the year, but long before that the organizers' offers started pouring in. Thus VON had to return to the manege to smell the sawdust again.

Norsk Countrytreff on Breim has had VON on the poster before, but it has been a few years since the last time. VON is therefore very happy to make the trip this year. The festival was incredibly fun to play at last time, and expectations are high that this year's edition will be just as good.
