With three studio albums and a recently released live album, he continues to challenge the genre's big names with his creative level. There are many who make traditional country music in the modern era, but none do it quite like Daniel; his sound is completely unique, while still being rooted in the tradition of his Bakersfield heroes, like Merle Haggard and Buck Owens. His new single, "Workin' Hard (Day and Night)," is a tribute to Merle and is used as the theme song for Dusty Slay's new comedy special "Workin' Man" on Netflix.
