Of this, NOK 200,000 from the savings bank foundation will go towards necessary investments in the festival area, while NOK 600,000 from the bank is earmarked for development of Norsk Countrytreff its offerings to children and young people over the next three years.
– Norsk Countrytreff is a very good example of how voluntary engagement, local cooperation and professional implementation create great value for both the local community and the region. We want to contribute to the festival's further development, especially with regard to children and young people, said Gåsemyr in connection with the award ceremony.
CEO Vegar Sårheim and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Foundation Norsk Countrytreff Nils R. Sandal accepted the gift checks on behalf of the festival.
– Just as important as the volunteers we celebrate here tonight is the support from partners such as Sparebank 1 Sogn og Fjordane and Sparebankstiftinga Sogn og Fjordane. Such contributions make it possible for us to further develop the festival, strengthen the offer for children and young people and ensure that Norsk Countrytreff will remain strong in the years to come, says Sårheim.
