Our volunteer team is the backbone of the festival – without you, it would come to a complete standstill. That's why we are incredibly happy that you will be joining us in creating the festival. Breim !

As a volunteer, you get to be part of something bigger. You become part of a community of over 800 people who together create an unforgettable festival experience for thousands of guests, Artists and fellow volunteers. This is where friendships are made, good stories are told, and a very special Country Meeting atmosphere that cannot be explained – only experienced.

Whether you serve food, help with the rigging, stand at the ticket booth or smile at the audience at the gate, you are an important part of the big puzzle that makes the festival go round.

Practical information and task descriptions

Below you will find a brief description of work tasks associated with the festival.

It is important that you meet on time and at the right place.

ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST MEET AT FJORDHESTGARDEN FOR REGISTRATION UNLESS OTHERWISE ARRANGED.

EXCEPTIONS ARE GRILL SALES AND BEER DRINKS / BARS THAT MEET DIRECTLY IN THE KOLBEINS AT THE ARENA.

  • CAMPING TICKET

    Responsible for sales, check-in and ticket control for the camping areas. You meet the guests first and contribute to a good experience from the start.

  • TICKET

    Responsible for selling and checking tickets at the entrances to the concerts. You greet guests with a smile and give them a good start to the concert experience.

  • CAMPING GUARD/PLACEMENT

    Help guests find the right place for tents, campers and caravans. You ensure order, safety and a good atmosphere at the camp.

  • BARBECUE SALE

    Here you are responsible for selling food to hungry festival attendees. A social and popular task

  • PARKING AND TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT

    You help direct traffic and show people to the right parking space – an important task to keep everything running smoothly!

  • PROFILING STAND

    A stall selling festival merchandise such as hoodies, t-shirts and other products with our profile. You help guests find something cool to take home.

  • REINFORCEMENT

    Help keep the festival area tidy and enjoyable for everyone. You are part of the team that ensures that both the festival and the campsite are clean and pleasant.

  • SANITARY GUARD

    Make sure that the toilets and sanitary facilities maintain a good standard throughout the festival. Important for both well-being and hygiene. We are known for having perhaps Norway's best festival in this area!

  • HOSTING / GUARDING FESTIVAL AREA

    You are the eyes and ears in the area – contributing to safety, a tidy arena and helping the audience and reporting when needed. A social and important role!

  • BEER BOTTLING / BAR

    Serving drinks to the adult festival participants. This requires both pace and a good mood – and you must be over 18 years old.

Parking for volunteers

There are 2 parking spaces set aside for our volunteers, marked on the map below.

We ask that only these be used as spaces closer to Fjordhestgarden are reserved for police, fire, etc.

Voluntary Terms – Norsk Countrytreff

Thank you very much for volunteering!
Norsk Countrytreff is a large volunteer project, and the efforts of volunteers are what makes the festival possible.
When you take on a shift, you become an important part of the community that gives thousands of audience members a memorable festival experience.

In order for us to achieve this in a safe, good and efficient way, we have some simple rules of the game that apply to all volunteers.

When you sign up as a volunteer, you commit to the following:

  • You arrive punctually and are ready for duty at the agreed time.

  • You stay sober and drug-free throughout the entire shift.

  • You contribute with good humor, cooperation and respect - both towards the audience, colleagues and leaders.

  • You follow instructions and do the tasks you have been assigned.

  • You wear a security vest and/or ID if the task requires it.

  • You take breaks in consultation with the shift manager and stick to what has been agreed.

  • You keep the area you work in tidy and help with small things that are needed - it is often the small things that make the big difference.

  • You report if you experience anything that is uncomfortable, unsafe or unwanted.

  • You return your guard equipment and ID when your guard is finished.

  • You have access to food and drinks in the crew canteen at Fjordhestgarden when you are on duty.

Important to know:

If you do not show up for duty, or violate the terms and conditions, you may lose your right to volunteer space and festival wristband, and in some cases be invoiced for the full price of the ticket.

Privacy and use of images:

When you register as a volunteer, you agree that Norsk Countrytreff may store and use your contact information in accordance with applicable privacy regulations.
You can request access or deletion at any time.

We also draw your attention to the fact that photos and videos may be taken during the event. These may be used afterwards for marketing or documentation of the festival.
