We raise the roof
This week a new chapter in history was born. Norsk Countrytreff write, when the ceiling on the main stage was literally lifted to new heights. The work of increasing the ceiling height on the main stage is an important step in adapting to increasingly larger and more demanding productions – just in time for the festival's 30th anniversary this summer.
At the festival site in Breim Odd Kjetil Tonning from Sparebank 1 Sogn og Fjordane and Vegar Sårheim, CEO of Norsk Countrytreff , to mark the milestone. The Sogn og Fjordane Savings Bank Foundation and Sparebank 1 Sogn og Fjordane have been key contributors to the project, and with their support have made it possible to prepare the stage for the future.
– Norsk Countrytreff is based on volunteerism and local commitment. The fact that players like Sparebank 1 Sogn og Fjordane and the Sparebankstiftinga come forward and support such projects means a lot, says Vegar Sårheim. – Now we have a main stage that can accommodate even bigger artists and productions, and it is extra great to achieve this in our anniversary year.
Norsk Countrytreff is today one of the largest country festivals in Norway, attracting thousands of visitors every year. Breim With 30 years behind it, over 800 volunteers on the move and an ever-increasing interest nationally and globally in country music, the upgrade of the stage is an important step in meeting the expectations of both artists and audiences.
Sparebank 1 Sogn og Fjordane and the Sparebankstiftinga Sogn og Fjordane have for many years been important supporters of the voluntary sector in the region, and place an emphasis on contributing to development and growth in local communities.
– Volunteering and a spirit of service are some of the things that make our communities strong. Being involved and supporting a project like this is entirely in line with our values, says Odd Kjetil Tonning.
With the stage roof back in place, Norsk Countrytreff ready to take the anniversary celebration to new heights - literally.
